matching the work abilities of an individual
to job requirements
of the employer. All you need to do is identify that a
placement/employment opportunity is available; we will work with you to do
the rest.
Training
Where an employee may require additional training or supervision Making it
Work employment staff will ensure that the employee is able to achieve the
duties and responsibilities of the position.
Job Placement
While paid employment is the goal of the Making it Work program, for some
individuals an unpaid placement may be a stepping stone to reach that
goal. Job placement is intended to provide an opportunity for individuals
and employers to explore whether the person is suitable for the job before
paid employment is pursued.
Job Coaching
Job coaching is available on a time-limited basis to assist an employee to
attain productivity that matches other workers. Job coaching service also
helps deal with any work performance issues that may be identified by the
employee or employer.
Job Retention/Follow-up
Job retention is an ongoing service, as needed, for individuals to
maintain competitive employment. Services are provided while the worker is
employed at your company to ensure that job performance continues to meet
your satisfaction. It also helps to create an environment of support by
continuing to monitor the overall employment situation and staying in
touch with the employee and employer.
Public Education on Mental Illness
Presentations/workshops/seminars are available upon request. Our resource
and lending library provides excellent resource and educational material
